Systems Administrator Job Description: Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
DCPDS Job Description: This position supports the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) Enterprise Human Resource application and related systems located in San Antonio, TX. The candidate will perform daily application administrative tasks for several Hewlett-Packard (HP) applications including Service Manager, Project & Portfolio Management Center (PPMC), Asset Management System (AMS) and uCMDB (Universal Configuration Management Database).
Daily tasks include account management, job scheduling and interface management. Routine tasks include implementation of business process changes, setting up control data and troubleshooting application issues. Tools operate in both Windows and Linux operating systems and interface with back-end Oracle databases. Knowledge of all three (3) technologies is preferred.
Candidate will be part of a small team that supports multiple departments and users across the enterprise.

Education/Experience Minimum: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Authority/Accountability: The successful candidate will be a part of a small working group and will report directly to the project Task Leader.
