Help Desk Technician

Position Overview:  The Help Desk Technician provides direct help desk mission support which includes the maintenance and help desk support service functions that will enable optimum C3MS WS operations.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Able to communicate effectively (written/verbal), possess strong interpersonal skills, be self-motivated, and be discipline and familiarity with ITIL management.
  • Hold and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
  • Certified at a minimum Information Assurance Technical Level II (CompTIA Security+ or similar)
  • Familiarity with the Remedy Ticketing System

        

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain cabling in a neat and clean manner between customer devices and outlets or connections.
  • Perform Periodic Inspections, Preventative Maintenance and Cleaning of customer devices.
  • Perform assessments, surveys, installations, replacements (scheduled and unscheduled), initial troubleshooting, ticket escalation, and outage resolution of all customer devices that are part of the C3MS WS baseline including but not limited to:
  1. Desktop devices (zero-clients)
  2. 3MS WS peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, token readers, webcams, keyboard-video-mouse (KVM) devices)
  3. Secure and non-secure telephones (Voice over IP, Vipers, Defense Red Switch Network, and Defense Switched Network devices
  4. Data-wall displays
  5. Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems
  6. Digital signage
  7. Copiers
  8. Printers
  9. Digital senders
  10. Facsimile machines
  11. Clocks
  12. Televisions

 

Education & Experience

  • Required High School or GED
  • 2-5 yeas Help Desk or similar experience

 

Salary:  Between $50,000 and $70,000

 

DoD Security Clearance Level:  Must currently have and be able maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
